Comments by the artist

I absolutely love this drawing. I drew it with sepia ink directly onto the paper without any pencil workings. I reckon it turned out great! It even looked like her.

What I did was carefully observe every subtle curve and imagine it on the paper in the right spot first, then I drew it in one quick smooth stroke and then moved on to the next line.

Before I tried this careful and deliberate method of drawing, my ink sketches were all scratchy and messy. This is definitely a much better way to work.
