Art, comics, graphic design and web development by the artist: Matthew Taylor

This is A portrait of a girl with really curly hair, it was a bit of a challenge. I normally have trouble drawing hair because it can be so complicated. This time I used hatching all in one direction to build up the tone then I've picked out a few characteristic strands of hair and drawn them in to discribe key curls. This method gives a nice effect.
